#1 Clearwater Beach
Of course, a quintessential summertime activity is going to the beach and what better way to end the summer than by making a trip to Clearwater Beach! The beautiful beach is less than 45 minutes away and offers the perfect day trip or weekend getaway. While you can enjoy the beautiful beach and the bright blue water, the area also has a variety of restaurants, shops, and even a fishing pier that you can take advantage of. Going to the beach is sure to be the perfect activity to end your summer on a high note.
#2 Sparkman Wharf
If you’re looking for a relaxing place but wanting to stay close to home, head to Sparkman Wharf. What used to be a retail center has been transformed into a park-like environment where you can rest and relax, or catch up with friends. You can choose from a variety of dining options, head to the biergarten for a fresh brew, or you can just enjoy the park like atmosphere and play games. The wharf features live music almost daily and allows you to enjoy the outdoors and countdown the last days of summer.
#3 Go to Busch Gardens
Feel the adrenaline rush and get in one last adventure at Busch Gardens! The exciting amusement park is open for the rest of the summer and the variety of rides makes it the perfect way to end the season. If you’re a thrill seeker, you can check out rides like Falcon’s Fury and Tigris, or you can head to the Air Grover or Serengeti Express for a ride that everyone will enjoy. The amusement park is also home to several types of animals that you can see while you’re there! The park is taking extra precautions and only those with a reservation will be granted entrance.
