29^th Annual Memorial Day Charity Tennis Tournament

This doubles tennis tournament is the perfect way to spend your Memorial Day weekend. The double tournament allows for our participants to stay active, as well as give back to a good cause. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Big Brother Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. There will also be auctions and raffle prizes. The tournament lasts all Memorial Day weekend and begins on Friday, May 24^th.

Fourth Friday Tampa

This year, Fourth Friday for May will fall on Memorial Day weekend. During Fourth Friday, our residents can take this opportunity to explore the city and view the exhibits and programs. There are several museums, theaters, and restaurants that participate with special deals for those participating. Wristbands to participate are free and allow access to deals at select venues.

Walk Tampa: Central Avenue Black History Tour

Tour the “Harlem of the South” and learn about the history of the African-American community in 1960s Tampa. Led by noted historian, Fred Hearns, the outdoor trek will cover social, political, musical, and religious traditions of Central Avenue. Tickets range from $10-$20 on Saturday, May 25^th and the tour lasts from 10 AM-12 PM. The tour walks you through about a mile of the historic area, so be sure to bring your walking shoes.
