Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park
Welcome in the holiday season and partake in all of the activities at Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park. Take in beautiful views of the Hillsborough River while skating on Downtown Tampa’s only outdoor ice rink, or get your holiday shopping done at one of the locally owned shops. There will also be entertainment on certain nights, as well as several dining options so you can spend the entire day participating in holiday events! The Winter Village will last from November 22-January 5, 2020.
The perfect event for all ages, Christmas in the Wild is put on by Zoo Tampa and allows visitors the opportunity to get up close to the animals and partake in holiday activities. Head to the zoo, after hours, and enjoy the beautiful lights, the Melitta market, and the animal show. There will also be dining options available, so you won’t have to worry about dinner for the family. Adults can also enjoy uniquely crafted cocktails that have a special Christmas theme! The event will be December 6-7, 13-15, and the 20-23 from 4 to 9 p.m.
A Floridian twist on a classic Christmas parade, the Lighted Boat Parade is the best way to kick off the holiday season. From boats larger than 10 feet to smaller boats, each one participating in the parade will be adorned with the best and brightest lights. You can view the parade from several different areas on the Riverwalk and there will be activities hosted by multiple businesses, so you can spend the evening enjoying all things holiday-themed! The parade will be December 21 at 6:30 p.m.
